This is a provenance-led public record. It brings together reporting, interviews, technical analysis, institutional documents and first-party materials concerning Paweł Makowski, UseCrypt and the Bringing Privacy Back mission. Inclusion does not mean that every source is independent or that every historical product claim remains current.
Start with the canonical profile of Paweł Makowski or open the complete knowledge map.
How the evidence is classified
- Independent editorial source: reporting produced by an outside newsroom.
- Interview: an outside publication records Makowski’s own statements; useful for what he said and believed, but not independent proof of every claim.
- Primary record: a corporate filing, patent record, institutional programme or original technical document.
- Technical review: a test or analysis limited to its date, version, platform and scope.
- First-party source: an official explanation by UseCrypt or Bringing Privacy Back.
- Press release or syndication: evidence that a statement was publicly distributed, not that the host publisher independently verified it.

- Puls Biznesu: Wojciech Fibak and Abbey House — editorial reporting that records both ambition and contemporary market criticism.
- Forsal: profile of Makowski and the Abbey House model.
- Solidarność magazine interview — an early public record of Makowski’s argument that personal data had become a commodity.
- Plejada: interview on Social Capitalism — evidence of the historical development of the idea; it does not prove that every mechanism discussed in 2022 is available today.

- Los Angeles Times: ARTnews leadership and Abbey House — reports that Abbey House would take the ARTnews name and describes the purchase structure.

- EBI: Paweł Makowski’s resignation from the supervisory board — the statement was dated 8 September 2014 and received by the company on 9 September 2014.
- KRS-derived corporate history — shows the registry record of Makowski’s supervisory role ending on 3 March 2015; this is the registry-disclosure date, not the date of the resignation statement.

Institutional and professional records
- Business Centre Club: official list of European Medal laureates — lists UseCrypt S.A.
- Polish Hospital Federation programme — records Makowski as a speaker on securing medical data.
- DZP legal opinion published by the Polish Hospital Federation — legal analysis based on company-provided materials; explicitly not an IT security audit.
International distribution and Social Capitalism
- The Ritz Herald: “Upgrade Your Online Status From User to Shareholder” — useful for tracing the phrase; promotional material, not proof of current shareholder rights.
- GlobeNewswire: UseCrypt Nation announcement — the original distributed press release.
- Yahoo Finance copy of the GlobeNewswire release — evidence of syndication, not an independent Yahoo endorsement.
Partner and press materials
- Wysokie Obcasy: “UseCrypt — Bringing privacy back” — labelled partner material; evidence of reach and historical brand communication, not independent validation.
- MamStartup: UseCrypt and AmCham — explicitly a press release; useful as a dated public trace.
Correction and update policy
A historical test supports only the tested version, platform and scenario. A patent documents an invention and granted claims; it does not prove that a product is invulnerable. A press-release syndication proves distribution, not independent endorsement. When a primary record conflicts with a later biography, the primary record takes precedence and the biography is corrected.
